A series of civilian large passenger boats, Project 1430, of the Alexander Green type, began to be built in Kherson, Illichivsk and Baku in 1970 (designer - ChTsPKB). In total, more than 70 boats were built under this project; several boats of this type were also used in to the Navy.

Seagoing Boat MK-139 laid down at Ilyichevsk Shipyard (yard No.63), commissioned on 1977.

On 31 July 1992 was reclassified to a passenger boat with rename to PSK-139.
